This Friday, Australian alt-rockers Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever will be releasing their new album, Sideways To New Italy, a homage to the eponymous New Italy, a village near New South Wales’ Northern Rivers. In fact, many of the songs on RBCF’s are location based. Travel to Melbourne (‘Beautiful Steven’), Los Angeles (‘The Cool Change’), the tiny town of Rushworth ('Not Tonight') and now Darwin with final single release ‘Cameo’. It’s one of those tracks that emerges gently, like the feeling of love that has inspired this guitar-driven tune. With open guitars and open-armed lyrics, ‘Cameo’ is a song of patience and belief that this little puzzle we call life will come together in the end.
